whenever lucien leaves town for court business elain secretly learns to say little things in new languages to surprise him when he gets back -

the first time he hears it he’s fairly surprised but then he notices that it’s become a little tradition of theirs and though she knows it’s nothing big, he’s grown to love it and it’s become something he looks forward to for when he can finally go back home to her. eventually he’ll ask her why she started learning to say things in new languages and she’ll reply, “because I want you to hear that I love you in every possible way there is” and ofc when she says this, he’s kissing her like he’s getting drafted for the army
Every time Lucien returns to the Night Court, he finds the jacket neatly folded on his pillow.
Dutifully, he puts it on before bed, spending the night in it, rubbing his cheek over the collar as if it can imbue his scent into it further, before gently leaving it on his dresser, a little less neatly folded, but it’s his best effort. He leaves for the day, visiting Feyre or meeting with Rhysand, drinking with Cassian, trying not to think of the scent of flowers that clung to the cloth, melding with his own scent, creating something so new and enticing and fragile he’s afraid to even whisper, or it would vanish.
When he returns, the jacket is gone, and he can barely taste the scent of hydrangeas and jasmine in the air. He breathes it in, this small, tiny gift left behind for him, and allows himself a small smile. This one small joy in a lifetime of sorrows.

Lucien loves photography and he documents everything. All road trips, interesting finds and every day life. His favorite shots are the candid ones of Elain doing little random things. It’s a collection he calls “Moments of you.”
Essentially shots of Elain in her sun hat working on her garden, Elain taking sips of water, picking her bags up, applying blush. It’s little moments that he catches of her where he just thinks wow, how incredibly lucky he is to have her and that she loves him as deeply as he does her

Lucien enjoys reading in the library and basking in the sunlight. He loves exploring locations and cultures. His morning tea and breakfast spread are essential to his day. He loves experimenting in the kitchen with his cooking and baking.
