Universities have closed due to the war. May didin’t want to go home, her desire was to become a doctor, unfortunately this would be impossible for her. However she could work as a nurse instead. Helga was just as sad to return home.

-Come with me, we can do something to help,- May said to her. 

The two girls rented a room in a very old and run-down pension, and easily found a job. May became a nurse, as she hoped for. Helga’s got a job in a military equipment factory.

At first it was not easy for May. At the big hospital she saw the first wounded soldiers returning from war. Many of them did not survive their injuries. Form time to time she asked news about Terrence, or her brother. Nobody seemed to know them.

-Don’t lose hope,- told one of the soldier to her. 

Lately however, May was feeling sick and nauseated. She thought it was because of all that work, and because she was worrying about her loved ones. She often found herself throwing up in the toilet. She tried to be strong. Many young boys were fighting and suffering at the front, she had to to her part.

Here’s my problem. I have 21 passengers, and no clue how many amongst them are Cylons. I can’t keep them all locked in their bunks, that’s just unrealistic. Who knows how long this stalemate will last. The way things are going, I won’t be able to keep them under my control.

When Cecily paid me a visit, it gave me an idea. There are people on here who have specific skills I could put to use. Sure, some of them may be Cylons and try to sabotage us. But if I pair everyone, the risks will hopefully be lowered.

I’ve thought about it, and here’s what I’ve got so far…

I have five passengers with known combat expertise. Sylvester, Simone, Titan, Echo and Gin. The last two, I don’t trust one bit. They’d probably just do whatever the frak they want. But the first three… I think they may be willing to follow my lead and help keep things under wraps.

Syd and Cassidy are good with tech. I’ll have them take a look at the Nemesis’ systems, see how far the Cylons have infiltrated it and what can be done about it.

Then, I’ve got two mechanics on board, Roman and Elias. For now, the ship is still headed straight for Sulani. But there’s no way I can allow us to reach it with Cylons on board. I’ll have them manually turn off the engines, this way the enemy will be just as stranded as us. It may motivate them to kill us all faster, but… That’s a risk I’ll have to take.

And finally, I’ll pair up Cecily and Katya to try to find a way to differentiate the Cylons from the humans. We’ll take blood samples from all the passengers, and anything else they think they might need.
