Kocho Shinobu
It brings her a nostalgic comfort to be able to sit down and eat with someone again. It’s like having a little slice of her older life back, where she doesn’t have to be the big sister any more. It’s nice to be taken care of.
She tends to be a light eater, only taking what she needs. She always feels a little ashamed when she can’t finish what you made for her.
And for your ears only - she thinks it’s so adorable how hard you work for her. She just adores how concentrated you look toiling over that stovetop! That’s why she doesn’t like her beloved partner cooking for just anybody!
She would smile genuinely if you made her a bento box for missions. It gives her confidence to know she has someone who loves her waiting back home. (And she would also subtly brag about it to her fellow demon slayers)
Kanroji Mitsuri
She feels like the luckiest girl in the entire world to have a partner who not only accepts her love of food… but shares it with her!
She’s such a sweetie She’ll probably get a little teary eyed the first time you cook for her. You’ll have to wave your hand in her face like “hello? Earth to Mitsuri?”. Meanwhile in her head she’s picking out her wedding dress.
I can just imagine her taking a break from demon slaying to have a little snack and thinking of you the whole time, and she’s filled with strength! She loves being in love!
Make her sakuramochi and she could bring down an entire army. No, I’m not exaggerating. But you’d better be prepared for some bear hugs when she gets home.
I imagine whenever you’re sad she’ll bring you some food and just kinda. Shove it in your mouth. Because your food makes her forget all of her doubts and insecurities, and she wants you to see how awesome you are
I headcannon and i am convinced that this could easily be cannon that if Rui actually cared about the rankings he could have easily taken Enmu’s place as lower moon one as he was before his death.
Here’s why:
So for one, I’m pretty sure just about everyone knows that Rui was Muzan’s favorite lower moon (and probably his main favorite out of all of them) and the things he said about Rui during the last episode of season one were said because he was upset that he was gone, But Muzan tends to give his blood to those in his favor who do what he wants them to and it wouldn’t surprise me if that went double for his favorites. And then there’s several things that happen during the mount natagumo arc and during the movie that makes me think that Rui is atleast as strong as Enmu. Firstly theres the thing where it took Tanjiro using a sun breathing move and the force of several explosions provided by nezuko’s blood demon art to even get close to taking off Rui’s head (and no rui taking his own head off to mess with him doesn’t count) and giyuu completely taking over the fight to kill him while with Enmu it only took one of his water breathing moves and a few good assist hits from inosuke while zenitsu, nezuko and rengoku were keeping him distracted by protecting the passengers to actually take Enmu’s head off. Now this COULD be explained by Tanjiro training and figuring out the total concentration constant thing, and while yes that probably helped but probably not enough to go up a full four kizuki ranks. And lastly there is their own respective fighting/hunting styles or since im a huge dnd nerd; their classes: so Rui has very high dexterity stat with athletics and acrobatic’s bonuses and due to his high dexterity stat pretty high speed, he has decent strength stat, okay intelligence and wisdom stats, a decent charisma stat and an almost op constitution stat so the best class i could compare him to is a monk-rouge duel class with homebrew cantrips (spells that can be cast without taking up to much energy) and most likely usually had to deal with his prey fighting back and giving him a workout. While Enmu has high wisdom and intelligence stats, an op constitution stat, a decent strength stat, a decent charisma stat and an okay dexterity stat so the best class i could compare him to is a duel class wizard-bard that only uses spells that involve sleep and usually knocks his prey unconscious not getting the work out he could get if he didn’t and instead knocks out multiple victims and gut-loads himself. And usually in that kind of fight the monk-rouge comes out on top unless they get caught by a sleep spell; Basically that means that in an actual fight the only logical way that Enmu could get Rui is with a sleep spell and knock him out but because Rui is the group favorite he probably has at the very least some knowledge on the rest of the lower ranks powers and probably knows the trick to Enmu’s sleep spell ability.
I think that cases of demons actively/purposefully attacking and eating their families or members of their family are actually much less common than it appears, because of three things; for one we know that when muzan decides to hunt he tends to go after groups (much like how he did with the kamado family r.i.p) and people tend to not investigate as deeply as they should so the blame tends to get put on the nearest survivor who in these instances has gotten turned into a demon (like what happens with nezuko) and for another they can still recognize who they are for the most part but they will still defend themselves if they are attacked/provoked (like what happened with rui) and unfortunately most of the time they do get attacked/provoked either once they are found out or once they try to feed themselves so they don’t hurt those they care about and since they are still getting used to their new-found strength and speed they forget that humans are much more fragile and slower compared to them than they used to be, what might have been meant to swat a blade out of someones hand could result in their hand being shattered on accident, or what was meant to be a fake out strike meant to scare them away could accidentally hit due to them misjudging their speed, Or on the flip-side depending on their state when they were turned they could just black out mentally and attack anyone in reach without even realizing who it was until afterwards (like presumably what happened with the hand-demon/Takumi). Don’t get me wrong I figure there are most likely still times when it does happen and it isn’t an accident but I think those situations would be much less common than they are made out to be.

Thinking about this again and IF this were cannon this would explain why Muzan killed off all the other lower moons besides Enmu aside from him just having a temper tantrum because his favorite demon was dead; Rui was stronger than the rest of the lower moons with Enmu being his only real competition (although to be fair Kamanue didn’t get much of a chance to prove himself) so Enmu would have been the only one he considered “useful” (aside from being a simp).

Kyojuro Rengoku
• You had been visiting with his family while he was away on a mission.
• He came home to you and Senjuro playing card games and talking about him.
• For once, he didn’t need to carry everything. And he was overjoyed to see you getting along with his brother – even if his dad still needed some work.
• At the end of the day, you sat next to him in peace. You lay your head on his shoulder and felt content.
• His soft, shallow breathing matched your own. You took his hand in yours, inadvertently feeling his rushing pulse.
• You were aware Concentration breathing made the Demon Slayer’s hearts beat incredibly fast, but that was supposed to be reserved for battle. Especially a pulse this fast.
• You frowned, “Kyojuro? Why is your heart beating so fast?”
• As you looked up to him you saw the brightest smile spread across his face. You were almost blinded by the sheer happiness it emitted.
• He took your face in his hands, his smile softening.
• “Thank you for being here, my love.”
Tanjiro Kamado
• He had gotten gravely injured on his last assignment, even Insokue and Zenistu had to be carried out by the Hashira rescuing them.
• But he was by far the worst, as always.
• For days he had been asleep, only partially waking for minutes at a time.
• Everyone at the Butterfly Estate was worried for him, and they were doing their best to help him.
• Kneeling by his bedside, you watched his peacefully sleeping face. His face was calm and soft. You wished he could look like this without having to be nearly killed first.
• You gently placed the side of your face on his chest. Breathing slowly to hear his heartbeat.
• The sound was warm and innocent, exactly what you thought it would be. A steady drum of hope.
• You felt a hand on your head, and as you shot your head up you saw Tanjiro’s kind eyes finally open.

• He had been whining the entire day about you listening to his heartbeat.
• His reasoning was that he could always hear yours, and that you should also hear his.

• He had been pouting all day, and unfortunately his puppy-dog eyes were starting to get to you.
• “Fine then, come here.“ You said as you were fighting off a smile.
