Sorry for the awful photo quality, but the Densha de Go arcade version finally came to my inaka town for all of one month, and I managed to get onto it in time for a couple of plays (despite the threats of lost friendship :p).

It was…a ridiculous amount of fun if I’m being honest. Big size train car cabinet, surround screens, good controls, touch screens, it was a blast.

Gotta get me that plug and play version

One reason I enjoy running Demoban so much is because Japanese demo discs are often a great opportunity to uncover deleted content and development history for Japanese games that might not otherwise be present on the final retail discs. Sometimes that leads to people coming across interesting things.

Like.

This.

Densha de Go trailer(?) on the Densha de Go demo disc.

It’s a trip and so far as I can tell, there’s no way to get it to actually trigger in game.

It’s just sitting there.

Waiting.

Let’s train again.
