Finally - small_soft_nobody - Diary of a Future President (TV) [Archive of Our Own]

Hc for doafp and heartstopper:

- Elena gets a copy of the graphic novel and finishes it in a day. Then gets the other 3 books and finishes them all in the same day too.

- She tells bobby to read it but he thinks that romance YA books are not his vibe so he doesn’t read it.

- the show comes out and Elena has it on on the Tv in the living room and Bobby walks in.

- He sees the scene in episode 2 where they’re playing in the snow together and gets drawn in.

- Elena goes back to the beginning of the show so he can watch it from the beginning

- This proves to be a very emotional experience for Bobby, seeing such positive queer rep, and he tears up a little when they fight in episode 7/8.

- Bobby sees Nick in himself. Being in sports and falling for your teammate/best friend, not understanding you have a crush on someone but becoming super close to them super fast. (In my mind bobby also took an “Am I gay” quiz)

- They both get very invested in the show and binge it all in 4 hours.

- Bobby asks to borrow the books snd gets OBSESSED with them!!

My comfort shows over the last 8 months have gone Diary of a Future President, Saved by the bell reboot, and now Heartstopper
