Consciousness came to Gentaro slowly: First, he notices how heavy his body feels, everything at once feeling almost too present to the point that he finds himself focusing in a little too much on how heavy his tongue feels in his mouth and how his bangs are touching his forehead. His mouth is terribly dry and uncomfortable, making the feeling of his tongue stick out even more-so. There’s something tight wrapped around his head and it’s slightly unbearable. Then, the small amount of noises in the room start to become more coherent; a steady stream of beeping, the shuffling of people walking around a handful of feet away, the sound of a TV drama playing from a nearby device, and the light laughter of a familiar voice next to him.
