Byleth walks over to the prince, eyes blank. As he crouches down next to Dimitri, Byleth gently touches at his bangs, brushing them away from his face. The prince finally looks at Byleth.

Honestly, Byleth was afraid of what he would find in the prince’s face. 

I absolutely had to draw it. I’ve been re-readinggodspeed byquags1re lately, which may be my faaaaaaaavourite Fe3h fanfiction ever and I just. I want to draw so many things for it but my hand is slower than my brain. 

So I settled for a hug and left it as unspoilery as I could, because the reason why Dimitri is like that destroys my soul to this day. Genuinely highest of recommends, especially if you’re drawn to angst/time travel fix it/dimileth You Will Yell At This.
