Hey wow it’s been a number of years but I figured this fan art belonged here.

here’s some fanart i’ve been working on practically since the second i finished season two of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. this show is so so SO unbelievably weird: and it’s all the more delightful for it. i was so upset to hear there won’t be a season three, but i sincerely hope the creators and cast and crew know what a wonderful and wacky thing they’ve made here- a thing that makes the rest of us soft and vulnerable misfits feel at home.

@dirkgentlybbca has well-rounded, complicated characters that drive the plot instead of the plot driving them- characters with soft bits, ugly bits, unlikeable bits, who you still fall desperately in love with because they feel so real. in a show that deals with such improbability, this is just one more improbable thing that actually happens: you love them. you love all their terribleness, all their complexity, all their tenacity, because it speaks to you the way very few characters and very few shows can ever successfully do.
