Latest bands/artists I’ve recently met/did interviews with. From Top to Bottom: One-Eyed Doll, Sean of Grey Daze and Ryan of Dead by Sunrise with painting of Chester Bennington (RIP), Kevin Gill of Psychopathic Records, Child Bite of Detroit, P.O.D., Jimmy Bower and Joey “Blue” Gonzalez of Superjoint Ritual, Insane Poetry, Eve 6, Max Cavalera, Ryan and Amir of Dead by Sunrise/Julien-K, September Mourning, Guitar Wolf, Tetrarch of Atlanta Georgia, my friends and I with King Crooked of Shady Records, and DJ Paul of 3-6 Mafia.
Here at Broken Window Theory, we are huge fans of Three 6 Mafia, we grew up listening to all of their underground mixtapes throughout middle school and high school.
Their sinister sound and themes were guided by the real driving force behind the group itself DJ Paul. Paul and his brother Lord Infamous put Memphis music on the map and never looked back.
This interview on No Jumper is a very great look at DJ Paul’s life and career, but also it covers the group and their rise to fame!
Definitely worth a watch, DJ Paul influenced all the great rappers you love today like ASAP ROCKY, Travis Scott,Young Thug, and others.
If you’re not familiar with Three 6 Mafia, go download/buy Mystic Styles and prepare to hear some of the best southern rap ever.
