COMMISSIONS BECAUSE MY PARTNER JUST LOST HIS JOB DUE TO ILLNESS/POSSIBLE LOOMING CANCER DIAGNOSIS AND THE BILLS ARE COMING
He’s got intestinal bleeding and on-off (but mostly on) diarrhea that has been going on since the 24th of May. We’re still waiting on the second round of blood/stool tests but so far, they don’t know what it is and he’s now waiting on a call from the gastroenterologist for CT scan and colonoscopy appointments. Could be IBS, could be Ulcerative Colitis, could be Cancer. We just don’t know yet. He can’t work if he’s running to the bathroom every half hour and losing blood. If he becomes anemic we’re looking at a stupid high bill for an ER visit and possibly a blood transfusion.
The medical bills are starting to pile up and rent/gas/electric/sewage is always looming on the first.
I’m waiting for a call from a potential job at a grocery store bakery. I’m disabled, there’s no way around that. My neck is messed up from what is believed to be inflammatory disease and going to get messed up more in process of leaning over cakes and decorating them to support my household, and that’s IF I get this job. I wanted my old job in the seafood dept back but “Cake Designer” is all they got and I lack the education/credentials/experience/skills to pursue anything outside retail to support us and the cats.
Here are my rates. Until I have a job locked down, I’ll be taking commissions. I know I’m selling myself short, but I also realize everyone else is hurting too due to the pandemic. Please help if you can.
