#does tinders algorithm look at your contacts or smth

Hello popping back from the dead to share with y’all that I have seen my ex’s profile on my tinder FOUR times today even though I keep swiping left and this is about the 7th time his profile has shown up for me total. TINDER WHY???? Does anyone have expertise on why this is happening to me cause seriously considering deleting the app ATM (not that I need it lol #socialdistancing)
