So it looks like it’s set primarily in Nevarra, just comparing to some previous concept art

And also these familiar faces

But there could also be some Tevinter because I’m not solid on architecture and we do see a Venatori

The new squad also looks cool!

And I have NO clue what’s going on with the magic in this or the ouroboros trinket? I think we’re getting some treasure hunter vibes so I’m hoping for more Rivain lore with the Lord’s of Fortune.

• With Dragon Age: Absolution being set in Tevinter, and this building looking immense, grand, palatial and pointy, and with it having a giant Andraste, I wonder if we’re looking at the Argent Spire in Minrathous, where the Imperial Divine resides. is the purple spell near the start of the trailer being performed there, and if so is that why the Spire looks purple from the outside at that moment? or is that just how it usually looks
• Classic Tevinter iconography with the serpents (along with the obvious serpent artefact and serpent logo)
• “We’re in” implies that they’ve broken into somewhere, which calls to mind that reported scrapped/rebooted early version of DA4 that was reportedly going to include “spies and heists”. I wonder if some of the ideas from that got rolled into this show
  
• Ancient artefact! macguffin! it’s an ouroboros, which have looots of meaning. there’s a ring in DA:O shaped like one
• Absolution
• December is gonna be fun, there is also Dragon Age Day and I’ve been eyeballing TGA 2022 re: DA:D
• the logo and branding is gold again
• hypothetically, there’s plenty of time between 9:44/9:45 and 9:52 for this to be set in
• Gonna guess that the setup is essentially this party led by MC face tattoo elf coming into conflict with this guy (Magister?) and his helper hammer lady (Tevinter templar?) and trying to stop them. probably from using the macguffin’s power to do something.. not good
• new heroes will “RISE”, I c wat u did there bw
• lady Qunari protecting/defending elven servants or slaves?
• the MC elf reminds me a wee bit of Vaea, and their face tattoo reminds me a bit of Zevran’s Crow tattoo. some tattoos are sacred to the Crows, and some Antivans have tattoos just for aesthetics
• the Tevinter fighter’s designisvery faithful
• do we recognize the spell glyph on the ground?
• if those are walking corpses, they’re walking elven corpses. they remind me of this, but with the green undead glow like here. they also remind me of this darkspawn concept art
• all that purple magic can’t be good
• hnnng blurble.. macguffin.. connected ..  and to DA:D
• Rage demon?
• the etchings on the big golden doors reaaally remind me of the ancient Tevinter mosaics in DAI

• this looks cool and i’m really excited, I can’t wait to go to Tevinter and meet a whole bunch of new characters and lore/plotbeats and have new canon content!!
