theherocomplex:

Summary: Hawke is familiar with all the madness Kirkwall can offer. Or so she thinks, until the sea comes calling.

Notes/Warnings: This chapter contains implied and actual abuse, body horror, gore, violence, injury, unreality, mentioned animal death, and minor character death. Lots of Aurelia-related nastiness in this one.

Thank you to @asaara-writes for the cheerleading and the beta-reading!! <3

Previously: A moment of respite and connection for Hawke and Fenris turned into a nightmarish visit to the future, ruined Kirkwall. They still know where Aurelia is, and faced with no other option except hiding from whatever has taken over their city, they decide to follow Hawke’s plan.

Well, “plan”.

Onward…

Chapter 22/27 is up! Read here.

Dorian did involve himself in medical research when searching for a cure for Felix. I think it’s in character for him to get involved in obscure magical-medical problems when it comes to someone he cares about.

You know, I had completely forgotten about that, but you’re right!

And honestly, even apart from caring about Cass/Josie and wanting things to work out for them, he’d probably find the challenge of sorting out a Weird Magical Accident pretty compelling. :D

they are all SNOWBOUND IN A CABIN WITH ONLY ONE BED

…Cassandra and Leliana arm wrestle for who gets to/has to sleep on the floor. Josephine rolls her eyes at the masochist tango going on and makes more tea.

(This might work though.)

Playing through Dragon Age: Origins again after many years makes me nine thousand percent sadder about Leliana in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Seriously, I am almost to the point where I’m like “Bioware, please don’t put Cassandra or Josephine in the fourth Dragon Age game, because I KNOW YOU WILL MAKE ME CRY.”
