Ever wondered what Harry and Draco might get up to if they visited your country? Maybe you’re longing for a holiday (who isn’t?) or want to wallow in nostalgia about your favourite destination. Here I present the solution! Inspired by @the-starryknight’sDrarry Round The World challenge and @graymatters’ fabulous Big Bang fic set in Alaska, I’ve put together four reclists of fics featuring our favourite boys abroad.
A few notes on the lists: all the fics are >1.5k words (ish), the first three lists feature fics with a single or primary destination, and I did not include AUs eg. Beauxbatons!Draco. When putting these lists together I tried to select fics where the country in question is explored/described in detail and integral to the story (so ‘resort abroad’ stories may not be included). I also haven’t added Major Archive Warnings so please check these before reading.

Draco can already tell it’s going to be an exhausting night, because he needs to spend hours rewriting mismarked Ministry files with Potter. However, when he arrives at Potter’s home unannounced, he realises that Potter has entirely different plans. And entirely different reasons why it’s going to be an exhausting night.
Playing Truth or Dare with the Slytherins had been a terrible idea. Being pinned against a wall by Malfoy while still on bloody Veritaserum was… well, hot as hell, and more than Harry thought he’d ever get, to be perfectly honest.
When you took the Mungo’s third shift, you knew there would be weird shit. You just didn’t expect to find the most recognizable face in the Wizarding world shoved into a hospital cot beside Draco Malfoy.
The closest house is miles away, and the red clay earth eats sound. He had married Draco, had moved here in hopes of a perfect love, a fantasy romance, but something is terribly wrong with this place. I just posted a new recfor@sorrybutblog’s delightful Cluefest fic but since today is her blog’s first anniversary I thought of making a short reclist with some of my favorite works. It’s been a pleasure to share this fandom with you, iota! I always look forward to reading your fics, no matter the plot I know they’ll all have those comforting, delicate, refreshing and organic vibes that pulls me right into that magical verse and makes me feel as if I’m watching two of my closest friends falling in love. Or: Harry’s gone back for eighth year at Hogwarts and nothing is quite the same, save his inability to leave Draco alone. But then he finds that Draco isn’t what he expected either, as they spend the month of December stuck in each other’s orbit.
Just as Draco Malfoy’s life seems to be getting back on track, the magic at Malfoy Manor is spinning out of control. Auror partners Harry Potter and Angelina Johnson are assigned to the case and quickly find that nothing about the situation is obvious. The flare ups are unpredictable at best, downright dangerous at worst, and why has a Hogwarts first year gone missing at the same time?

“Fuck off,” Draco growls. He looks like he might be crying, which Harry can forgive because his bones have just been shattered and then vanished. Harry would be crying too. Before Harry can move, not that he was planning on doing so, Draco is dragging himself along the floor again. His wand is between his teeth, and he’s muttering something to himself.
He gets about a foot down the road when Harry starts to follow him.
“Do you need me to carry you?” he asks, sidestepping quickly before Draco can swing for his junk.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” Draco says around his wand. Harry holds up his hands before shoving them into his pockets. He strolls slowly down the road next to his partner, enjoying the spring evening, and pointedly ignoring the scrape and shuffle of Draco dragging his lifeless legs along the floor. It rained today. Lots of nice puddles along the street.
After ten minutes of walking excruciatingly slowly, Harry gets bored. He looks down to a sweaty, angry Draco and takes his own life into his hands. “How about I grab your arms and just drag you along the floor? It might be quicker.”
