The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester and The Countess of Wessex have hosted a dinner to celebrate the work of @stjohnambulance at Windsor Castle. TRH are Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), Grand Prior of the Order of St John and Grand President of St John Ambulance respectively.

I got to go to Middleham Castle today and I was about as excited as a child at Christmas.
It was so, so strange just knowing that I was in a place that meant so much to one of my favourite figures in history. Visiting Leicester and York is one thing, but being in the place where he lived as a young boy, where he learned court behaviour and battle skills, where he first met his future wife, where he lived when he was a duke and where his only son died is something else altogether.
(I also bought a Richard III coin necklace/bracelet and Amy Licence’s book on Anne Neville from the gift shop. A success in every possible way.)
