An archive and review of the minis used on CR.

Not gonna lie, I’m gettin’ puh-retty impatient waiting for the showdown with Lucien. Personally, I’m not loving the pacing in this part of the campaign. Of course pacing probs are bound to happen in an improvisational game like D&D. That’s just the nature of the medium. But what do I know? I’m no analyzer of campaign story pace, I’m an analyzer of minis! On with the analyzin’!

Hair today, gone tomorrow, it’s time for Crit Role Miniature Rollout Campaign 2 Episode 134!

The Monsters

What a ferocious brute! This pose is great, it has so much heft to it. Definitely an intimidating beast, even in this hunched position, the Reverser towers over the adventuring party. This is the first time I’ve seen actual photos of these models (as opposed to the CG renders that were released when the CR minis were first announced). I am impressed.

In addition, the wrinkly, shaved bear aesthetic reminds me of my cat, so extra points for that!

Speaking of hairless cats, get a load of this beholder kitty! Look at that eye, comes complete with a white highlight, wow. These are some primo prepaints. Also, I’m lovin’ the bright, tropical color scheme, seemly inspired by the vibrant warning colors of various real world poisonous creatures. This is a particularly impressive miniature, because, on paper, this monster concept sounds real goofy. But the execution is sound and this is totally a serious business, fierce creature.

Closing Thoughts
