Hermes, en la mitología griega, es el dios olímpico, heraldo de los dioses, patrono de los juegos gimnásticos. En su caduceo se ha integrado la llama olímpica. En su mano izquierda sostiene la corona láurea, aquella que se otorgaba a los los ganadores en los Juegos Olímpicos.
Dentro de la filosofía griega-helenística el buen atleta, al igual que el sabio, es aquel que se ejercita no en todo movimiento posible, no aquel que tiene muchos conocimientos, sino solo aquellos movimientos o conocimientos que te permiten enfrentar la circunstancia.

Tal constelación es considerada como una de las más distinguibles dentro del hemisferio boreal celeste.
Algunos consideran que hay una correlación entre las tres principales estrellas del cinturón de Orión,
y las tres pirámides de la meseta de Giza. Esta correlación tendría la función de facilitar el tránsito de los faraones Keops, Kefrén y Micerinos al lugar de donde proceden los dioses. Dentro de la alquimia el símbolo de el (filius philosophorum) «niño áureo» o «el niño delos filósofos» es
Orión, aquel que fue creado por tres padres: Jupiter, Neptuno, y Mercurio.
Such a constellation is considered one of the most distinguishable within the celestial boreal hemisphere.

La figura que aparece a la derecha de la imagen, tiene en su mano izquierda un nenúfar cuyo simbolismo está asociado a la tendencia a juzgar de modo favorable. Lo que se juzga, lo que se sopesa, son dos elementos que hacen aparición en la báscula, a saber, un peso y un elemento que simboliza la luz, el conocimiento. Y en cierto sentido ambas cosas pueden comportar, según algunas teorías, la misma carga: gravedad, seriedad, pesadez. La cuestión es si al decantarse la balanza por eso que puede ser consecuencia, no habrá un exceso de responsabilidad (simbolizada en este caso con los niños que tiene a sus pies, a su mando). La oposición conceptual dada, se da asimismo en los elementos que sostienen los infantes en sus cabezas: un pájaro (liviandad, ligereza) y un peso.

Alméry Lobel-Riche French, 1877-1950)
Alméry Lobel-Riche was a towering figure in French print-making. He never formed part of any school, although there is a clear influence in his work of Symbolists such as Félicien Rops and Impressionists such as Louis Legrand, as well as the classical example of Ingres. The art of Alméry Lobel-Riche is characterized by a troubled and troubling atmosphere of decadent sensuality, and is very much the artistic counterpart of the poetry of Baudelaire and de Musset.
Although he did execute some pastels (mainly of fashionable women), the bulk of his work consists of etchings and drypoints. Lobel-Riche is particularly known for his female nudes, elegant women, ballet dancers, depictions of bars and dance halls.
Alméry Lobel-Riche lived from 1880 to 1950.
