what if the Mighty Nein just. fake Essek’s death? if they pull it off properly they could get the Empire and the Dynasty off his back in one fell swoop. also it would be so fucking funny to watch them try because they would do it in some absolutely ridiculous way that undoubtedly humiliates him in the process.

It’s incredible, breathtaking, really, that Essek can fit a world of importance between his palms. Not the whole sum of all he holds dear in this moment of his life- he doesn’t have arms long enough to contain them- but this is certainly a beloved, pivotal part, one he would be deeply forlorn without.
