them: violence isn’t the answer

me:

a work of art

My last straw is the amount of people defending Nate and calling Lexie homophobic for that last scene of the play Aside from the fact the whole play is satire and the hero sequence was meant to poke fun at jock culture/toxic masculinity and point out its hypocrisy the irony in Nate’s “that’s so homophobic” comment is supposed to be that HE IS HOMOPHOBIC??? Like even if he is gay/bi/queer himself he still has loads of internalized homophobia and at this point it seems increasingly more likely he’s an emotionless psychopath than that he has any coming out story in his future so Lexie did not out him when as far as she and literally every other character knows Nate is straight and the only reason that scene comes even slightly close to seeming like it “outs him” is because he threw a fit. I’m sure there were plenty of other jocks in the theatre who knew the play was making fun of them and just laughed it off. Nate’s reaction is way more about his own homophobia than feeling ‘outed’ or actually caring about homophobia in general like, if it was a bunch of girls doing a sequence like that no one would consider it homophobic because society is so used to sexualizing women, which is apart of the commentary of the scene along with the fact it is douchebags like Nate who do homoerotic locker room stuff (flashback to ep 2x01 with Mckay) and then harass actually M|M men

All this focus on young Cal when we should really be talking about Derek who brought his homie to a gay bar with zero context and almost successfully achieved their friends to lovers arc because of it

faye did not HESITATE.  she knew exactly what to say, she did not stutter.  those boys gave her a home, gave her a blanket, gave her half of their damn sandwich, and she was going to protect them.

this was the most sober we’ve seen her all season, and I think the most of her personality outside of drugs. Chloe Cherry did a magnificent job with Faye this season.
