I was a little disappointed that exu calamity wasn’t going to be set in aeor at first because obviously I’m obsessed with aeor but since it’s not ans there aren’t any main avalir crash sites it means that that city is gonna be DECIMATED. and I’m so excited
the priests are on leave and the automatons are breaking down and you catch the faintest reflection of eyes watching you in a mirror.. dreams of destruction and betrayer gods begging for help.. corroded divine gold and lavish parties and floating cities that can’t take any more weight without collapsing. it’s the end of an illustrious era and you’re all going down in flames! goodbye! goodnight!

I think describing how invisibility would work when applied to physics and saying that you catch the pinpricks of light from a pair of pupils watching you thru the reflection of a mirror is objectively the most terrifying way you can add on to that, ever. thank you brennan lee mulligan
the looming sense of doom both in and out of the story that’s being told.. we know why the priests are “on vacation”. we know what the dreams mean. we know why automatons are breaking down. we know why the raven queen is sharing her concerns with purvan. we know. it’s the end of an era babey!
Loquatius Seelie really thinks he’s mid-second act of your standard romcom and meanwhile every other person at this table is experiencing or enacting horrors beyond fathoming, and I love him for it.
Show of hands who else wasn’t expecting Sam’s flashy, shallow character to be the one most fixated on the interpersonal relationships and the heart of the issue at hand.
Yes he’s vapid, but he is SO FAR OUTCLASSED by the sheer hubris around him that being still a bit in love with his ex wife and grieving their split gives him literally twice the emotional depth of anyone else when it comes to the priorities associated with grand magic and its effects.
