Sorry for the long absences, friends. Life-Other-Than-Middle Earth has taken hold and must be dealt with. I still love my King, and the fandom in general.
One of my new time-wasters is a game called ‘Cross-Stitch’. Decided to make my own pattern using one of Laura Oakenshield’s (I know that isn’t her username anymore) images that invokes such Thorin feels for me.
Bou is very ill, and Mr. Bou being the awesome husband that he is, decided that a Hobbit marathon was just the medicine I needed. As we get to the moment when Thorin does the “Stop, drop, and roll” maneuver to divest himself of his burning outer coat, the conversation goes like this:
MR. BOU: Amazing how his hair didn’t catch fire.
BOU (hoarsely): Especially with that majestic mane…
Thorin Pros: -buys the best food -remembers when the bills are due -will do the dishes Cons: -his bedroom is cluttered as heck -he likes hisspace -he hates decorating for any holiday

Wait… can we do a group zoom call? Can we have a whole slew of Kinglets on a call together from different locations? Because she would love that . How can we make that happen?
Okay so I’ve been looking into this and we actually cando a group zoom call for up to an hour. There’s no pricing list available so I’ve emailed the agency to ask about it and they basically said “what’s your budget and we’ll see what we can work out”.
I’m kind of really serious about this so is anyone interested in participating? I’ve asked in the Kinglets Facebook group and have a few people who are interested there, so I think if we got enough people involved, we’d be able to cover whatever the minimum cost is and then anything else we can raise is a bonus. I’d love it to be a case of “pay what you can” because I know a lot of people can’t travel for conventions and don’t have the luxury of spending $95 on a two minute conversation.
