The Council solemnly requests the pleasure of your company at the annual Thanedd Ball.
We welcome you to the first ever Witcher event that focuses on the banquet hosted by the Brotherhood of Sorcerers on the Thanedd Island! With season three of the Netflix show rapidly approaching and with it the confirmed Thanedd Coup, we thought it would be a good idea to throw a ball of our own.
The main purpose of this event is to showcase the fashion and envision what the characters would wear by making art/edits/gifs/fanfic/etc. Maybe you want to be the one to design Yennefer’s dress? Or maybe you want to see how Triss would look like in the latest Alexander McQueen collection? We invite you to be bold, creative, and have fun in your creations!
Of course, fashion isn’t all that there is to the Thanedd Ball. If you wish to write fan fiction where Geralt does get to kiss Yennefer in front of everyone or draw Philippa covered in blood, you are more than welcome to do so! It’s Thanedd, baby! All mediums of expression/characters/ships are welcomed as long as the work is connected to the Thanedd Ball/Coup in some way.
All the characters from all canons are invited to the banquet, but we urge you to remember this event mainly focuses on the sorceresses, so please keep them in the spotlight first and foremost.
Our ball will be held on the 1st of July, as that is the canon date when the actual banquet takes place in the books, and the posting will begin around 3 pm CEST.

Greetings artists, writers, and all Shadowhunters lovers in between! We have an exciting announcement for you!
In past years, the @malecdiscordserver has had the pleasure of putting on the Shadowhunters Mini Bang, and we’ve appreciated all of the time and effort that has been put into that event. This year, we’re looking to change things up.
Before we commit our time to it, we wanted to gauge your interest in participating in another collaborative event. The interest check has a few simple questions that will help the Mods figure out the best way to run this reverse bang. This will allow us to consider how many artists and writers are interested, what participants may be comfortable with as a minimum commitment, and whether joining the Malec Server will be a mandatory requirement as it has been in past years. This form is anonymous and no names/emails are recorded.
What is a reverse bang, you might ask? Similar to previous years Mini Bangs, a reverse bang is… well, reverse. Instead of writers creating a story and artists finding inspiration in it, artists will have the chance to create art that writers will find inspiration in. Artists will create never before seen art prompts and writers will get to claim that art prompt that most inspires them.
When you present your interest, please keep in mind that this is a collaborative event, and artists and authors must work together and commit as best as they can in order for it to succeed.
Please submit your interest by Saturday, March 19, 2022.

You can sign up to create & receive one or several of the following options:

OnChristmas Eve/Day all the gifts will be posted for everyone! On Boxing Day it will be revealed who made gifts for whom, then after that you’re of course free to post the gifts you made to your own Tumblr :)

Welcome to the Finn Mini Bingo! This is a low pressure event to encourage Finn-centric content.
For the event, each person will receive a 4x4 bingo card with 16 prompts.You do not have to complete all 16 prompts. To receive a “participation” stamp, you must have completed at least one prompt by December 18, 2022. To get a “bingo” stamp, you must complete 4 prompts in a row, OR any 6 prompts. You may also swap out up to two prompts (you can do this without asking, just indicate in your post that you’re switching a prompt). The switched prompt can be anything but here’s a list of prompts for the event you can refer to for ideas. You can use pieces made for another event (such as Finn Week), but the pieces must be new.
Pieces that count as a fill:
Fanfic (500 words minimum)
Fanart (cleaned up sketch minimum - shading, color, or other finishing not necessary)
Gifsets (at least 2 gifs)
Poetry (7 lines minimum)
Icon sets (at least 4)
Podfics (of at least a 500 word fic, with author permission or blanket permission)
Fanmixes (Cover art and at least 5 songs)
Fanvids or Fanedits (at least 15 seconds)
Meta (at least 250 words)
You can fulfill multiple prompts with one fill, but in that case you should double the requirement, for example 1000 words for fanfic, etc.
Content requirements: Finn must be the main character of the piece. Ideally, he would be the POV character, but if not then the other characters must be primarily thinking about or talking with Finn. Ships, gen/no romo, etc is all fine! Just again, please keep in mind that this is a Finn bingo. NSFW is fine but please tag/warn appropriately and place it under a cut if on tumblr.

I started Comment Bingo to try to spread positivity in a fandom that has its share of antis and anon hate. Turns out, everyfandom has those and could use a bit of positivity! So here’s your call-in to spread positivity by commenting on some new fics in our great fandom!

So I’m sure most of you have already seen the sad news that the previous mods of coldflashevents have decided to step down.
I’ve always loved this blog. I’ve really enjoyed participating in the events and seeing everyone else’s amazing contributions over the years, and I always eagerly awaited announcement of new events. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. So I’m pleased to announce that this blog is officially under new management!
I want to say a massive thank you to @kleptoandpyro and the other mods for handing me the reigns; I hope I can live up to the amazing standards you all set for previous events.
Some of you may already know me as @coldflasher (and if you don’t, feel free to come and say hi!) Full disclosure: I’ve never run any fan events before, but I’m extremely passionate about this ship and I’m excited to get stuck in!
I’m already brainstorming plans for the first event of 2022. I’m thinking of starting off small with just a weekend event to help me find my feet, and then if that goes well we can look at moving onto full week-long events, big bangs, all that good stuff :D
I’d love to hear everyone’s feedback on what kind of events you’d like to see, prospective dates, etc. Right now I’m leaning towards a mini summer event at the end of August—let me know if that date works, or if you’d like more time to prepare! I’m open to any and all feedback to make sure this runs as smoothly as possible.
Once we have a date in place for our first event, I’ll start thinking about prompts, etc., so if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to send them my way, and we’ll go from there. I know as a writer, I always like it when there are lots of prompts to choose from, so any ideas are welcome!
Thanks again to the previous mods for letting me take over, and I’m excited to get started :D
Like fic? Like art? Like the two together? Then this is the event for you!
How does it work? Like this:
Artists sign up to create art in any visual media form you like (traditional art, photoedits, fanmixes & moodboards) as long as it features Anders & any Hawke of your choice (f!, m! and nb! Hawkes both default and custom welcomed!)
Authors will then be given a list of descriptions of the art, claim an artwork each, and then produce a fic based on that artwork. At this point you’ll be put in touch with your artist & can tailor your collaborations as closely as you like!
Both the art & the fic will then be posted at the same time after a writing period has ended.
Sound simple? It is! It’ll still break you like a twig, but in a fun way!
Here’s the schedule:
4th April - 8th April: Artist sign ups 9th April - 15th April: Author sign ups 22 April- Artist ½ way check-in point 10th May - Artist rough drafts due 11th-13th May: Author claiming 27th May: Author check-ins due, pinch-hitter requests if necessary 17th June: Final drafts submitted for both art and fic 18th June: Posting starts!

We will reblog all submissions regardless of ship. That being said, do not start any ship wars in the comments. No hate will be tolerated; same goes for whitewashing or other racially insensitive works.
3.NSFW is fine as long as it’s tagged accordingly. Use the tag #spicy atla polyam week (Tumblr doesn’t like the nsfw tag anymore).
4. All visual works must have an image description. If you have difficulty with this, please contact us (DMs to our personal blogs are fine) and we will be happy to provide you with resources!
In addition, please do not put your IDs in small font / italics / under a read more.
If a description is in a reblog and not the original post, or hidden beneath a read more, we will not accept it. Audio such as videos must also include a transcript.
5. Please tag potential triggers, such as violence, gore, death, and other sensitive topics.
All fanfics have to be rated and include archive warnings or “no archive warnings apply” (so no works tagged “author chose not to use archive warnings.”)
6. Threesomes/foursomes, etc. should at the very least include an allusion to a discussion of consent, polyamory boundaries, etc.
