One more photo of (maroon) farutetto from our Valentine’s day meet.

I’m glad that the tulle ruffle of my underdress cooperated with me for this photo! It’s quite delicate, and therefore has a habit of sticking to itself in unflattering ways.

Celebrating MM making a small comeback with maroon Faltetto. My guess is that the “new” maroon colorway will be very similar to this one here, which was originally a limited colorway from 2017’s Faltetto release (which was via special reserve for an event in China).

The new pieces being individually made and not mass produced like previously begs the question if there will be a noticeable quality difference, though - I’m curious! Only time will tell.

You can view my old picture here of a fullbody pic of the full dress, so interested parties can get an idea of the appearance and colour.

It seems the Faltetto has had a few minor design and material tweaks throughout the years it’s been re-released, implying multiple factory changes, I think.

Lovely picture by Sasa, thank you!!

This was my outfit for my comm’s recent Valentine’s Day/Lunar new year meet.

This amazing jacket with its sometimes reddish, sometimes purple colour was the piece that I centred the coord around - I love its 18th century inspired design! I tried to follow the historical influence with a wide bustled skirt. However, I think overall I’m not that happy with the final look…there are a few layers going on here and I felt a bit lumpy.

I thought about going down a 18th century chinoiserie path to tie the outfit into lunar new year, but I don’t think I had any pieces that were really suitable for it (mustard seems to be a much more popular colour for chinoiserie from the time, as well as printed items influenced by asia). Perhaps next time.

Dress (Faltetto JSK layered with Copine Georgette JSK), Jacket: Mary Magdalene
Hair accessory: Metamorphose Temps de Fille
Socks: Angelic Pretty (with ribbon I added)
Shoes: Fluevog
