Yukka and Yuki were both wearing gothic all-black outfits when we noticed them in Harajuku. Yukka went for an androgynous look, while Yuki opted for a romantic and feminine outfit. You might recognize Yukka from the modeling work she’s done for various Japanese magazines and fashion brands.
Yukka is wearing a long sleeve top with cutout shoulders and zippers (from Algonquins) paired with torn skinny jeans. Her military style lace-up boots were an online purchase and her bag is Vivienne Westwood. Her accessories are from Bloody Mary and Crazy Pig: silver rings (some with skulls) and a long pendant necklace. Yukka is donning short brown hair, and loves shopping at Algonquins and Ghost of Harlem. Her favorite music is L’Arc-en-Ciel and rock in general, and you can find her on Twitter as @letitrock69.
Yuki is wearing a lace top with bows and a ruffle skirt, both from Metamorphose. She matched them with lace gloves and tights, as well as a lace headband tied with a ribbon under the chin. She has long, platinum blonde hair, rhinestones under her eyes, and blue contacts. She’s also wearing black Mary Janes, and she told us that Alice and the Pirates is her favorite place to shop. When it comes to music, classical is her favorite style.

A bit of a simple outfit, but it’s always nice to twin as close to 1:1 as possible, and cream and dusty pink pair together so well!

This was my outfit for my comm’s recent Valentine’s Day/Lunar new year meet.
This amazing jacket with its sometimes reddish, sometimes purple colour was the piece that I centred the coord around - I love its 18th century inspired design! I tried to follow the historical influence with a wide bustled skirt. However, I think overall I’m not that happy with the final look…there are a few layers going on here and I felt a bit lumpy.
I thought about going down a 18th century chinoiserie path to tie the outfit into lunar new year, but I don’t think I had any pieces that were really suitable for it (mustard seems to be a much more popular colour for chinoiserie from the time, as well as printed items influenced by asia). Perhaps next time.

Happy Lunar New Year!
I planned to wear something like this outfit last year, but that didn’t end up happening…so now is the time!
My brooch features AP’s Milk Cat, because tigers…cats…right?
I own pretty much no qi so I used this Baroque OP (the only qi thing I own) as a blouse, tucking up the skirt portion. There are a few layers going on here - I wore another underskirt over the OP but under the JSK to reduce lumps and also because the OP’s original ruffles fell a bit too long. And then I added a few Meta wa pieces that looked passable (I think the informal theme of this outfit is ‘tassels and cord’)!
I would like to own more mandarin collar and frog button (cord button) type items in the future, I think they’re quite cute.

I attended an old school themed meet on the weekend, which was a bit of a challenge considering my oldest pieces only date back to 2010. Unfortunately I had a bit of trouble with the photographs.

I had a go at making an unboxing video for my Wunderwelt haul :)
I attended the Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival yesterday, posing with the fairy floss because the pinks match. It was a bit windy, but I thought that it added to the whimsical charm :’)
