Listen Fate couldve been better if it wasn’t a Winx adaptation. Would it still have been a majority white show with heavy handed attempts to be progressive? Yes but it wouldn’t have sparked all this outrage.
Seriously how did Netflix think they could get away with whitewashing the main cast and taking a show known for being bright and Campy and turning it into some Riverdale-esque drama without getting major critique? They should’ve just made a different show.
Not me rewathing the Nickelodeon Winx because I need something to cleanse my palette after watching what ever the hell Netflix was trying to do.
I just need to be comforted by the memories of making sure the tv was free so I could watch the latest episode of Winx.
I’ll never get over the fact that Netflix canceled JatP but renewed F*te The Winx Saga. I love. Its a hate crime bc I’m queer and hate it.

My opinion as someone who watched the cartoon: It is not Winx club…
but it doesn’t try to be Winx Club either. Is a series that looks for it’s own identity in a new format and for a diferent target audience than that of the original Winx Club, while basing itself selectively on the original material.
I like to think of it as a T-rated AU fanfiction, but is official and in a liveaction audovisual format with a good budget.
That’s what I think.
All things being said: I miss my Flora and Helia SO. MUCH. I was torn between wanting them in and thinking “maybe is for the best they are not here.” lol
I guess is about time I resume watching the old seasons from the cartoon HA.
