Dracula/Jonathan Harker is what Twilight could have been if Stephenie Meyer hadn’t been a coward

Literally no heterosexual explanation for all the lines in Dracula that in and out of context make it sound like the Count has a crush on Jonathan

«This could have been an email» meetings are annoying, yes, but have you ever been in a «this should have been a meeting» email thread? Have you witnessed an endlessly branching email conversation where everyone’s replying to different messages and nobody has the whole picture and by the time you’ve written a clarifying response, three separate people have added additional info that wasn’t in the email you’re responding to so now your response is irrelevant? Have you ever opened your inbox and seen thirty new emails and thought «this could have been avoided if five people had been in the same room for approximately five minutes?

I’m not saying that Jonathan Harker’s journey to Transylvania is representative of everyone’s first job after graduation. It is, however, in many ways representative of my first job after graduation, down to the cryptic warnings from the locals, the weird superstitions, and the slow realisation that you’re trapped and being drained of life.
