“Wednesday, August 20, 1919 – Left Brest this morning to load on ship it is a small ship only 500 men going on it – I sure have been sea sick oh boy coughed up my socks several times all the boys are sick this small ship sure Jumps
Thursday, August 21, 1919 – I am better today, but still feel dizzy Just like twisting in a swing all the time will be in New York in 6 days more”
