The Snake 

This miraculous predecessor was a bit more difficult to design than usual so there may be fashion elements that don’t clearly scream “feudal Japan” than how I initially planned Nevertheless, here is Feudal Japan Viperion! 

Slightly similar to canon viperion, I was thinking that striking the shamisen strings would initiate the “time-travel”countdown and the snake design would indicate how much time he would have left to travel back to the initial time-travel point. Otherwise, maybe he could use the instrument as an overdecorated bat to knock folks out lol.

I may experiment more with the color palette later but for now, I thought this  Feudal Ladybug predecessor was a herbalist just trying to get by with her little brother and doggie lol

Don’t know what to name her but I thought this Rena Rouge predecessor’s true identity would be a determined young lady who wants to be the best blacksmith just like her dad .  But knowing me, nothing is final because I couldn’t even decide on her hair

Feudal Japan ML AU

So the story was I originally wanted to redesign the miraculous masks to be more like Japanese theater wooden masks but my art-deprived self just designed whole wardrobes for everyone lol  

I thought these redesigns could be feudal Japan predecessors to the canon ones but what kind of stories do you imagine with these characters?

The Monk

If Carapace was a hella sea-themed monk in feudal Japan?? I had a bit of a hard time formulating this design but I thought carapace predecessors were the “rocks” to the miraculous gang – a being who would protect and always carry an assuring presence regardless of the obstacles ahead.  Hence, I thought a monk would embody such well-grounded values
