entertainingtheidea:

War and Peace’s James Norton is the latest addition to the cast of the Niels Arden Oplev-directed remake of Flatliners.

The original movie, which starred Julia Roberts,Kiefer Sutherland, and Kevin Bacon, followed a group of medical students who experimented with near death experiences that involved past tragedies until the dark consequences began to jeopardize their lives.

As THR reports, Norton will portray would-be doctor Jamie, and joins previously announced Ellen Page,Diego LunaNina Dobrev, and Kiersey Clemons.

Remake, huh? Is that really necessary? Still, good to see new projects for James!

At the University Hospital School of Medicine, five ambitious students subject themselves to a daring experiment: to temporarily induce their own deaths, hoping to glimpse the afterlife before being brought back to life. But as competition within the group intensifies and their visions of the world beyond increasingly bleed into their waking lives, they’re about to learn that the greatest threat comes not from the spirit world but from the long-suppressed secrets of their own pasts.

«No, bitch. I am

Me too. I call dibs! Or as the kids say “Shotgun!” I think in Boston, they say “Fives!”

Maybe I just have a fixation with his mouth or something, but I love watching James Norton eat. Maybe it’s in his contract that he always eats in his movies or shows or something so that his sugar doesn’t drop too low. I can make that joke. I’m genetically predisposed to diabetes.

Repost

James laughing his sexy butt off and having his best life.

I adore a laugh when I can see a man’s molars.

Oh wow, this new cover art is super gay!!

image

…. oh wait, that’s Rachel. :(

(ETA: Blaze launched in Canada! I was seriously gonna blaze this gay hot take but once again, Tumblr would not take my money. CLASSIC.)

it’s not that he doesn’t trust Rachel.  He does.  She’s a good doctor and a good friend.  He’s pretty sure she knows all his flirting is a cover.  Anyhow she goes along with it, shooting him down with good humor.  He knows she will do her very best to keep him alive.

He can honestly say the same about Joe and Randy.  He trusts them with his life.  They will do everything they can to bring him back.

Only they’re not Dave.

Is it that Dave is a better doctor?  Dave is good, maybe even great but is he really any better than any of them?

Does he care for him more than the others?  Dave’s a good friend but, however much he might wish otherwise, nothing more.  He’s more comfortable with Dave but he can’t really say he’s uncomfortable with any of the others.

Why does he want Dave to be here so badly?  Why  is he convinced that “The Experiment” won’t work if Dave isn’t here?

The wave of relief he feels when Dave shows up is almost embarrassing.

He is lying on the gurney when Dave bends over him.  Dave’s too long hair, damp from the rain, flops forward, nearly brushing his cheek.

“It’s not too late to change your mind, Nelson,” He whispers softly.

He looks up into those beautiful gray eyes.  There is worry.  There is even affection.  But love…he steals his resolve.

“Do it.”

Oh yes this is MUCH better ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Seriously though. Joel Schumacher was SO GAY and I’m actually really angry that his gay memory is being disrespected by this ridiculous Heterosexual Artwork especially since Nelson x Rachel wasn’t even a THING?
