This week on the bench : two silverface Fender amp. One is a Vibrochamp and the other one is a Champ.

A customer ordered me a special box for his Rick-O-Sound Rickenbacker.
The idea is to have a box with two input and two outputs (one for each pickups).

Each input can be connected to a FX loop and any output can be connected to the out of the FX loop.

So now, there are many ways to connects the pickups to FX or amps.

Today on the workbench : a Silverface Bassman amp fromthe 70′s.

Nothing really hard to do : recap job, boas setting, removing the “death cap”, cleaning etc etc…

Here is an Eurelec tube tester from ‘61.
I just bought it a few days ago. There are a few stuff to change but everything is working. Can’t wait to test all the tubes I have !

Today, Pedro, the bass player of Tahiti 80, brought me his ca ‘93 Big Muff Civil War made in Russia to fix some kind of little bugs.

The sound is awesome !

I think I’m playing too much TF2 on my spare time.
Wearing glove, it’s time to build a dispenser, a sentry and some teleporters !

These last two days, I worked on some kind of preamp box for my own use. The idea was to combine a 5F6A preamp (using JFETs, no tubes) with a Belton Brick Reverb.

The first switch can invert the order of the preamp and the reverb to decide where the signal should go first.

It sounds devilish! I can’t wait to test it on a rehearsal…

Roland SH-2

Hi everyone !

I was too busy these last months to take the time to post anything here.
So here’s my last work : the restoration of an old Roland SH-02. Its owner found it covered in dust and rust in a cave.
It was very dirty, all posts were crackling and one of the IC (the kind that is very hard to find) was burnt. The ribbon cables were a bit tired and rusty too.

Anyway, everything is working fine now !!!
