This is aimed at anyone who works with Freya and/or has cat experience.
My 5 year old female (who I adopted 2 years ago) has developed some behavioral issues - excessive neediness and occasional bouts of aggression (towards me if she doesn’t receive play exactly when she wants it, and more recently toward my family when they visit (prior to this year, she would only be excited to interact with visitors, now she flips into anger mode without any apparent warning).

I believe having another cat for a companion especially while I’m at work could help to reduce her issues. So on Thursday I adopted a 2 year old male who has lived with other cats and is very cat and people friendly. The introduction process is not going great… I just ordered a calming collar for the female to see if that makes a difference (I got some calming treats previously that don’t quite seem to be cutting it).

But I also figure a little divine intervention wouldn’t hurt either. I had prayed to Freya before going to the shelter to help me find a good cat, and I am sooo pleased and in love with this boy I found. He’s doing great for his part of this!

So, I was thinking… we have some feral cats in the neighborhood as well. Would Freya appreciate an offering of food and water left out for them?

tl;dr: Having cat intro problems. What can I offer Freya to ask for her aid?

I didn’t actually intend to post this. But whatever. My cat loves me. Just saying.

Freyja really loves her nose rubs. And she will curl up on me and push her head into my hand to get them.

He was once one of Freyja’s (a Norse Goddess) cats, who was lost from his owner for many years after a gruesome battle in the Baltic Sea. Freyja was out doing her Godly duties with the wounded, when Cat (havent figured out his name yet) lost his way coming back from fetching himself food. After many years he found his way back to Freyja, but by then he had changed, and acquired such wisdom and intellect that he felt dissatisfied with his reclaimed life under the Goddess’s ownership. So he ventured off by himself in pursuit of establishing his own prophetic career…
