Medical science allows people with unfavorable genetic traits to succeed and procreate, disrupting natural selection and increasing our dependence on medical science. Human genetics will eventually have to be edited to remove all the crappy genes medical science has allowed to proliferate.

I’m so sick of seeing this! “The fittest” means “best suited for its niche.” Cockroaches aren’t strong or venomous or good diggers or whatever, but they’re REALLY good at scavenging. A dog would die if you left it alone in a desert. A fish would die out of water. Those aren’t the niches they’re adapted it.
Now humans are shit. Compared to other animals, we’re objectively shit. Can’t kill with our teeth, no claws, can’t dig, can’t climb trees, no fur, can’t fly, can’t swim. We’re bad compared to most niches on the planet.
What niche did humans pick?
Community.
We got together and decided to stick together. We’d build houses together, defend each others from predators, share our food, and look after one another. The gene being selected for isn’t strength or speed. Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps aren’t the fittest humans imaginable.
We chose altruism.
Humans are supposed to be compassionate. We’re supposed to care for each other. Including people with disabilities, and we’ve been doing that for at least 13,000 years. We’re supposed to see a starving person and share food. We’re supposed to see someone who’s sick or injured and give them medicine.
So when people like the person who submitted to this to r/showerthoughts say this eugenicist nonsense, know what that makes them?
Unfit.
By Darwin’s definition, they’re not suited to our niche and therefore they should not have kids. (Thankfully, we no longer pass laws mandating sterilisation. But these people probably won’t find life partners.)

Already, they’ve already done that to where they have upscale Blacks going to these schools down in Maryland. And they were doing worse than a white kid is doing an Appalachia.
