Glee Rewatch - 1x16 “Home”

- Sue tells Mercedes she has to lose ten pounds by the end of the week for the magazine interview

- Finn to Kurt “I live in a closet; there’s cowboy wallpaper on the walls.”

- also, Rachel sits by Finn a lot, even when they aren’t dating

- Carole Is getting rid of her their old furniture

- Finn doesn’t want his dad’s chair to be sold because it’s the only thing he has left to remember his father

- Carole tells Finn she’s dating Burt Hummel, Kurt’s dad

- Will finds out April owns the skating rink when he goes to check out places to rent for glee rehearsal for the week

- Finn asks Kurt about their parents dating; they met at a P/T conference

- Kurt gave Carole a makeover

- the reporter and Sue have a conversation before the performance; he was short listed for a Pulitzer and Sue thought he’d be a woman because his name is Tracey

- The Cheerios sing “Beautiful;” the glee club along with other students go down to the floor to sing with her

- Tracey was impressed with Mercedes being a Cheerio; he was originally planning to expose Sue and her ignorance; he calls her a visionary but little does he know that she had nothing to with choosing that song

- Burt comes over to talk to Finn; he loves Carole; Finn invites him to watch a game; Kurt watches through the patio door

- April got 2.2m for hush money from Buddy and she bought the auditorium

Glee Rewatch - 1x15 “The Power of Madonna”

- not my favorite episode

- I’m not a Madonna fan, so this episode is one of my least favorites to watch.

- I do like like, however, that Will takes this as an opportunity to teach the boys how to value women.

- ughhhhhh Santana asking to take Finn’s virginity.

- Borderline/Open Your Heart was good but it’s not my favorite Finchel duet but Finn on drums

- Finn only agrees to sleep with Santana because he’s mad at Rachel for dating a Jesse. DUMB.

- Rachel is not ready to sleep with Jesse.

- the only redeeming factor of this episode is Sue singing “Vogue” the rest of it just irritates me.

- I appreciate that Emma and Rachel didn’t do something they weren’t ready to do

- I hate that Finn slept with Santana to make Rachel jealous.

- I always feel bad for Finn when he says “I don’t feel anything because it didn’t mean anything.”

- Rachel and Finn lie to each other; Rachel lies to Finn, why didn’t she think he’d lie to her about sleeping with Santana.”

- Finn should be suspicious of Jesse ‍♀️

- Kurt and Mercedes are Cheerios! I always forget about that storyline.

- I spoke too soon; “Like a Prayer” is also a redeemable factor of this episode

Glee Rewatch - 1x 14 “Hell-O”

- I love the recap of the first 13 episodes

- JBI is always creepy

- Sue is also kind of creepy with Figgins

- Finn doesn’t want to date Rachel

- Will and Emma cuteness

- Sue having Santana and Brittany go on a date with Finn so Rachel will quit glee is ridiculous

- Finn breaking up with Rachel is so sad

- I get he’s a sophomore in high school and doesn’t want to be tied down and is trying to figure out who he is now, but it was still sad

- Rachel on “Gives You Hell” is so good, even if it doesn’t fit the assignment

- Finn is awkwardly sitting there he totally knows that song is about him

- Enter Jesse St. James. Ugh.

- It’s not that I don’t like Jonathan Groff, I just think Jesse and Rachel are too much alike. She needs someone to balance her out.

- Rachel and Jesse duets are amazing but I still prefer Finchel.

- Finn realizes his mistake in going out with Brittana

- I appreciate that he stuck up for Rachel

- Wemma dancing together is so sweet

- Finn apologizing to Rachel is also so sweet, too bad he’s too late

- Enter Shelby “You want to look so talented it’s literally killing you.”

- Will is a jerk for making out with Shelby

- at least he admits that he’s a mess

- Rachel has some serious self esteem issues… don’t settle for Jesse. Spoiler: he’s a jerk.

- Reenter Crazy Teri

- she needs to leave Emma and Will alone

- I appreciate how Jesse calls Rachel out for being a drama queen

- awwww Finn wants to be a couple with Rachel. “I don’t give up that easy.”

- “Hello, Goodbye” is sooooo good.

Glee Rewatch - 1x13 “Sectionals”

- everyone but Rachel knows that Finn isn’t the dad, although she’s kind of figured it out

- First moment of Brittana

- Will saying goodbye to the glee club for now

- Mercedes on “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going.” It’s amazing.

- Rachel was even blown away and she admitted it

- Amber sang it live for each take

- Rachel tells Finn about Quinn and Puck because she thought she’d end up with Finn

- but at least she apologized to Quinn

- FINALLY AT SECTIONALS

- Mike Chang elbowing JBI for dancing along with their competition

- Finn and Will’s heart to heart.

- Finn: “Why do I always have to be the bigger man?”

-Will: “sometimes being special sucks”

- Emma confronting the glee club coaches from the other schools; she cares so much about students, even those that aren’t at her school. She’s a great educator.

- Finn showing up with music and delegating. He’s such a good leader.

- Donna Landries did not want to be there and it shows

- I feel bad for Emma that Ken dumped her but she also didn’t want to marry him. It’s for the best.

- Figgins finally suspended Sue for giving the set list two the other schools.

- I love Figgins. He’s so underrated.

- “My Life Would Suck Without You” is so good. Also, I love how they incorporated choreography from all of their previous performances.

- Wemma kiss (when my friends and I watched the original airing of this episode, we lost it when they kissed! We were so excited! People throughout the dorm probably thought we were insane.)

Glee Rewatch - 1x12 “Mattress”

- Glee Club can’t be in the yearbook

- but if they want to be in the yearbook they have to pay $1000. Or $325 for ¼ page.

- Will is right: Ken did schedule the wedding on the same day as Sectionals.

- Brittany was the only one who gave Rachel an honest answer as to why she didn’t want to be in the glee club photo

- Finn accepts that he’s a leader

- Finchel duet: “Smile”

- Finn decides not to do the photo because of Karofsky and Azimio. Lame.

- Rachel fake crying

- they are all way too exited to be in a mattress commercial

- “Jump” is another classic group number. (If I had to narrow down my favorite songs from Glee, I’d fail. There are just so many good ones.)

- Will finding out that Teri is fake pregnant

“This marriage works because you don’t believe in yourself.” Just another example of how Teri is the worst.

- Will could have slept on the mattress with plastic on it

- the best thing Quinn has done thus far in the season is stand up to Sue for the glee club

Glee Rewatch: 1x11 “Hairography”

- not one of my favorite episodes

- Chris and Cory bts talking about “Bootylicious” is hilarious

- Will should have just listened to Rachel about not needing hairography

- Teri and Kendra are insane

- poor Finn, he’s so uncomfortable singing with Rachel “you look like a sad clown hooker.”

- he likes the way she normally dresses

- Finn and Kurt had conversation about what kind of girl he’s attracted to; the complete opposite of how Rachel was now dressed

- Quinn and Puck are so cute together

- Too bad he was sexting Santana while they were babysitting

- the Haverbrook kids were trying to be polite but that mashup of Hair/Crazy in Love was a hot mess

- “Imagine” always gives me goosebumps and tears. So good.

- I love that the ND kids were learning how to sign the song with the Haverbrook kids.

- Finn was honest with Quinn but she didn’t tell him she was babysitting with Puck.

- “True Colors” is also so good!

Season One has so many great songs!

Glee Rewatch - 1x10 “Ballad”

- Finn giving Schue crap about the assignment after Schue is paired with Rachel “yeah, I really like that song Mr Schue.”

- Will immediately realizes what a mistake it was to sing with Rachel

- Enter: Crazy, “Obsessed with Will”Rachel

- Finn is so uncomfortable singing to Kurt…

- “I’ll Stand by You,” is so good!

- Finn crying with his mom is so heartbreaking

- Will’s mashup of “Young Girl/Don’t Stand So Close to Me” is so good!

- Finn realizes Kurt likes him but he’s trying to be nice; you can see in his body language when Kurt is trying to help him pick out a tie in the basement)

- Puck tells Mercedes he’s the one who got Quinn pregnant

- Finn “I have to go, they’ll think I’m pooping”

- I saw a behind the scenes video on thie dinner scene with Quinn’s family. Dianna struggled keeping a straight face. I can why.

- also, “You’re Having My Baby” is so awkward

- I don’t like Quinn that much in the first season but I feel so bad that her family kicks her out for being pregnant

- “Lean on Me” by the cast always gives me chills! So good! This could have been on their Sectionals set list.

- BTS info: Dianna and Cory weren’t present during rehearsals of “Lean on Me” so that their reactions would be genuine while filming.

- I love how the club always supports each other

Glee Rewatch : 1x9 “Wheels”

- I do not like the way Quinn talks to Finn about getting a job. She could also get a job or tell Finn he’s not the father.

- Poor Kurt… he really wants to sing Defying Gravity

- I always feel bad for Artie when the club comes up with 50 excuses as to why they don’t want to raise money for the ADA bus for Sectionals.

- “Dancing With Myself” is my favorite Artie solo (again, probably because I listened to the first CD release for like 4 months with my friends in college).

- I like that Will tells the club they’re doing the bake sale. Also, that Artie sticks up for himself.

- Artie to Rachel, “you’re irritating most of the time but don’t take that personally.”

- having the club spend time in wheelchairs was a great teaching moment. Good job, Will!

- Burt is such a good dad to Kurt. He went to the school and fought for Kurt to get to sing the song.

- first Diva Off!

- Figgins making Sue offer open auditions for Cheerios is one of his best moments!

- I love Brittany and Becky’s friendship

- Quinn yelling at Finn again during the bake sale. He finally had enough and stood up to her.

- Also, Finn kicking the wheel chair is a classic Finn move

- Becky is a cheerio

- why doesn’t anyone get detention at this school for fighting?

- oops… Tina forgot her stutter for a moment

- Poor Burt… he doesn’t know how to deal with the phone call he got about Kurt

- Finn helping Rachel fix her chair and during their conversation says to her “I like you” ❤️

- the Glee club selling pot cupcakes thanks to Puck

- Finn says he’s rooting for Rachel ❤️

- Kurt sacrificed the solo for his dad

- Rachel and Kurt both did a great job up until Kurt blew the High F… I think it would have been difficult to decide who won

- Rachel helped Finn get a job at Olive Garden with his wheel chair

- Artie offering to sacrifice the bus for more ramps at the school is one of the best parts of the episode

- Sue paying for more ramps and we finally get to see why Sue was so nice to Becky is another great moment; we meet her sister

- poor Artie when Tina reveals that her stutter has been fake

- Kurt and Burt talking about throwing the note; “I love you more than I love being a star.”

- “Rolling Down the River” is such a great group number!

Glee Rewatch - 1x8 “Mash-Up”

- first Karofsky appearance

- if your fiancée doesn’t want to tell anyone or wear the ring, then maybe you shouldn’t marry them ‍♀️

- another good Glee cover: “Bust a Move”

- plus, Finn on drums

- I love Emma’s pamphlets! “I don’t have any pamphlets on how to be cool…”

- Will singing “Thong Song” to Emma is so weird

- If I didn’t ship Finchel, I’d ship Puckleberry

- Puck bringing Rachel a slushee is so sweet ❤️

- “Sweet Caroline” is so goooood.

- I love that Will was willing to teach Sue how to swing dance

- Poor Kurt… dumping the slushee on himself so Finn wouldn’t have to do it

- I don’t like Sue but I felt bad that she caught Rod and Andrea at the studio

- poor Rachel “I want everything too much.”

- Finn is such a good leader. I love that he goes to Ken and let him know that he can’t choose between glee and football anymore because he sees a future where you can be in both worlds and it be cool.

- I love that the club slusheed Will and he was a good sport about it

Glee Rewatch - 1x7 “Throwdown”

- one of my least favorite episodes

- Sue splitting up the club was ridiculous

- Finn wanting to name the baby Drizzle

- Quinn calling Finn an idiot was uncalled for

- I loved the kids singing “Ride With Me”

- Finn on drums is always a bonus

- “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” is a weird song choice for Quinn in this moment. She cheated on Finn and is pregnant with Puck’s baby. Finn might be confused about his feelings for Rachel and Quinn but he wasn’t leading her on.

- the best moments of the entire episode is when Will goes off on Sue

- I wish we got to see more Matt in the show (I know that’s why the actor left, because he had two lines in season 1 and no character development.)

- JBI may be a creeper but he felt bad for telling Sue about Quinn’s pregnancy

- “Keep Holding On” is another one of favorite group numbers (it doesn’t help that while these episodes aired, my friends and I listened to the Glee Vol 1 cd EVERYTIME we got in the car)

Glee Rewatch - 1x6 “Vitamin D”

- Emma about Sue “I can’t believe she’s allowed to teach at this school.”

- first Mash-off!!!

- Sue spends so much time making fun of Will’s hair

- Teri is still crazy

- Finn gave up homework to keep up with everything else

- season 1 has such good music! “It’s My Life/Confessions” is so good!

- the girls’ faces during the boys’ performance are hilarious; like “oh crap. They’re better than us.”

- I appreciate the moments when Rachel humbles herself throughout the show. Like in this episode when she reaches out to Quinn and says they need her voice to beat the boys. It was also nice seeing Rachel telling Quinn that the glee club won’t turn their back on her

- Teri getting everyone in school high on decongestant ‍♀️

-Ken proposing to Emma in the teachers’ lounge is kind of weird

- “Halo/Walking on Sunshine” is good too but I love the boys’ mashup more

- it is impressive that Quinn could keep up with them without Vitamin D

-Finn brings out the best in Rachel #changmymind

- how did Teri not get arrested for giving out that much decongestant to children?!

Glee Rewatch - 1x5 “The Rhodes Not Taken”

- Finn and Quinn duets just aren’t as good as Finchel ones; not bad just not the same

- best Puck line “That Rachel chick makes me want to light myself on fire but she can sing.”

- JBI is super creepy always

- I know Finn is using Rachel to get a music scholarship but when he leaves the classroom, he looks like he feels bad for manipulating her

- Kristen Chenowith can sing but she’s not my favorite guest star. Probably because of how annoying her character was on Pushing Daisies

- Will should have listened to the kids when they said they didn’t think April should be in the club

- Sandy is still creepy

- Finn “this play is weird.”

- poor Emma… Having OCD and Kurt puking on her shoes.

- I like that Emma told Will that April shouldn’t be getting the solo because it’s supposed to be about the kids.

- Rachel and Finn bowling together ❤️

- Finn to Rachel “I appreciate you.”

- Finn was so excited when she got a strike

- Finn was going to pursue music in college… what happened to that by Season 3?

- I love that Brad is wearing the same costume as the kids for the invitational

- Why weren’t there more invitationals in following seasons?

- Will finally removed April, only after she shows up drunk to perform and nearly runs over Emma

- “Somebody to Love” is one of my favorite Season 1 performances

Glee Rewatch “Preggers” 1x4

- The single ladies dance with Kurt, Tina, and Brittany is a classic Glee moment!

- At least Teri is realizing that she needs to tell Will the truth… too bad she listens to her insane sister

- Rachel’s first major tantrum over a solo

- Finn helping Kurt try out for football shows how he tried being a friend to everyone no matter their clique

- Poor Finn when Quinn tells him she’s pregnant

- I will forever love how Finn trusts and respects will enough to go to him and let him know that Quinn is pregnant.

- Finn asking Will to help the football team so they could win a game ❤️ this kind of foreshadows Finn’s teaching ability and it definitley shows his leadership.

- Puck is not a Lima Loser

- Teri is so creepy… waiting for Quinn in her car.

- Kurt waving at his dad in the stands

- I love that the football team does Single Ladies. Another classic Glee moment.

- Burt was so proud of Kurt for scoring the winning field goal!

- I love Burt and Kurt’s father-son relationship. Burt isn’t afraid to admit that he has no idea what he’s doing but he puts in the effort to try to understand Kurt.

- Finn wants to be a good dad to his baby… too bad he doesn’t know the truth yet.

Glee Rewatch - “Acafellas” 1x3

- there’s bones in her hamburger casserole… hard pass

- Sandy is so awkward

- the guys watching Henri eat his cake

- one of my favorite lines “Do you see anyone else in here with a plate of ‘I’m sorry’ cookies?”

- Quinn is so manipulative she doesn’t deserve Finn anyway

- do people really keep hairspray in their locker in high school?

- Santana broke up with Puck because of his low credit score

- Kurt pretending to have a crush on Rachel

- “Bust Your Windows” is one of my favorite Mercedes solos! So good!

- I love that the kids stood up to Dakota Stanley. They knew that they didn’t need to change major things about themselves to be like Vocal Adrenaline; that they needed to appreciate what made them special.

- I love Will’s relationship with his dad. He was so inspired by his son that he enrolled in college.

- Mercedes and Kurt have one of the best friendships on the show!

Glee Rewatch 1x2 “Showmance”

- Finn helping Rachel with her bag is so sweet

- “We’re not raising our baby in a used house. They’re not clean.” Teri might be worse than Brittany

- Finn trying to dance during “Gold Digger.”

- I always feel bad when Rachel doesn’t think she’s pretty enough to have a boyfriend

- Will shouldn’t have pushed disco so much on the kids. Just because it won in 1993, doesn’t mean it’ll win in 2009. Listen to the kids and find a happy medium.

- Teri is so entitled; throwing a tantrum over Will not being able to find a second job

- Finn admires Rachel’s honesty in Celibacy Club

- “Push It” by New Directions always makes me laugh. It’s so great. Also, Figgins loves it.

- Ken gives Emma a speech about not wanting to be a rebound but that’s exactly what he would be…

- a lot of people use the auditorium scene with Finchel as an example of why he’s a bad boyfriend because he cheated on Quinn, but I disagree. I think Finn didn’t really know what he wanted as far as relationships go. He was supposed to be a 16 year old boy. ‍♀️

- Quinn is a spoiled brat

- Teri is a jerk for not telling Will the truth once she found out (I know why she didn’t but still)

- although she did back off of him about the money thing, so that’s nice

Glee Rewatch - Seasons 1-4 (because seasons 5 and 6 are too painful to watch for multiple reasons)

This is just a collection of my thoughts, observations, and opinions (probably unpopular) as I rewatch most of the series.

Episode 1x1 - Pilot

- from the moment we meet Finn, we see that he’s looking to be more than a football player that bullies kids. You can see the regret on his face as Kurt is thrown into the dumpster.

- Sandy is still super creepy

- Where did Hank Saunders go after Sandy was fired?

- Teri is a terrible wife

- Finn looked so hopeful during the locker room meeting with Will when Puck said he could sing

- “Can’t Fight This Feeling” remains in my top ten Finn Solos

- there are a lot of questionable things that happen on Glee like Will planting pot in Finn’s locker… but I guess it made the show what it was ‍♀️

- Finn has a great voice for classic rock! The producers/writers/etc did a great job showcasing all of the cast different vocal strengths.

- Kurt’s face during “You’re the One That I Want” is priceless

- If Finn is so popular how did Rachel not know that he was dating Quinn?

- That Finn side smile though
