shout out to the literal fan fiction happening a few blocks from my apartment. there has been this halal meat market on the corner for like 19 years that the owner’s son just inherited and directly across the street this woman opened a kosher grocery store and since day one they’ve had this very friendly fake rivalry, playing it up for the customers, it’s always been super goofy and light hearted. so turns out last night she proposed in the middle of the afternoon rush in the meat market and he said YES and she’s moving her store to the adjacent empty storefront on the left so they can have a JOINT GROCERY STORE it is so fucking cute I wish them the happiest marriage ever

They’re the good, good guys!

Had some fun experimenting with this type of lighting. God I love these two snarky boys.

this is my version of nabooru! given that the gerudo culture has no concept of last names, instead using physical traits, hobbies, or jobs as clarifiers, “nabooru” is her full name. she is 48 years old.

she’s always been someone well read, earning her a high level of respect within the gerudo oasis. most gerudo tend to their own community, but nabooru has always looked beyond their walls. she’s spent much of her life studying the various conflicts between the gerudo and hylians, and notices a pattern– it escalates when a male gerudo is born. so when ganondorf is born, her community turns to her despite her only being the age of 16.

when a war inevitably breaks out between the hylians and gerudo over the triforce, ganondorf appoints her as his right-hand, hoping her knowledge of previous wars will aid them in finally overcoming the hylians. but, no matter how much nabooru explains the principles of realism or war, it seems ganondorf is simply unwilling to listen. when he is imprisoned by the hylians, nabooru steps into ganon’s place as leader.

she turns the throne from something that exists to keep the peace to something more akin to how the hylians have structured their own monarchy. because of her, the phrase “by any means necessary” becomes common parlance amongst the gerudo.
