Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell wrote the tax bill in secret, and rushed voting as to not expose the horrible policies.
Barley a month in and the deficit is blowing up.
I just got my first paycheck of the year, and the tax cuts have kicked in. All in all, I’m getting a little less than $2k a year more than I did last year. And that money isn’t free. It’s money that we’re going to be paying off for decades. It’s money that should be going to help people who need it.
Don’t get me wrong - after a solid year of being painfully broke, I’m thrilled to have some breathing room.
But…not at this price.
my take home pay will be about $520 more than last year.

absolutely nothing in the GOP tax plan is worth that. I would happily give it back to close this pandora’s box of theirs
