“Adideath“

The name refers to the cult brand of the Russian underground subculture “gopniki”, mixed with the “death”. A typical gopnik’s party involved dancing on a floor covered with cigarette butts and empty jars of cheap alcohol.
In this work, the dancing figures stand in a circle, their angular legs forming a jagged silhouette. It is also a kind of figure of something light, littered with the junk of bacchanalia, trampled into the dirty floor of a suburban club or a gym.
And because all that light has been broken and overthrown, the gopniki themselves are, in fact, already spiritually dead. They have no hope, and their whole life is just an incessant mocking dance on ideals
