The Great Gatsby inspired window displays at Harrods paying tribute to Baz Luhramann’s latest adaptation in a feast of glamorous sparkle and Art Deco design. The decadent Roaring Twenties parties are brought to life in this display and depicts the lavish lifestyles of the age before the crash.
She was a handsome woman, always had been. An assured woman who always fixed you with her gaze, commandeered you to be drawn in just like her husband, but demanded respect rather than obedience. Which isn’t to say she was a particularly good person, only than she went about not being so much better than her husband’s shallow niceness.
She barely lifted her head in acknowledgement of my entry, though she greeted me as one of her own, which I had always rather liked about her. In fact I liked Michelle Hallows a great deal. Judge me if you must.
