#grown under lights

This is an up close look at the most recent addition to my succulent collection, Tradescantia navicularis.  I purchased it at the 18th Eastern Cactus & Succulent Conference in PA this October.  I am very limited on space under my grow light and on my windowsill so I’m only adding super cool looking plants.  This one fit the bill!

Up next in the up close look at my succulent collection is a group of Kalanchoe ‘Mother of Thousands’ plantlets.  It is so beautiful how this plant makes its babies on the edges of its leaves, but I will admit that it produces so many of those babies that I don’t know what to do with them!  Perhaps a giveaway?

In November, my Haemanthus albiflos sent up a very sturdy flower stalk with a simple white flower at the end.  I think this is the most elegant plant in my collection.  I like its economy of leaves.

Back in November my Aloe haworthioides made a flower.  It wasn’t much to look at, but I am aways happy when my plants do new things!
