The one wearing our Halloween dress is Nancy, a guinea pig rescued by Austin Guinea Pig Rescue.
The original owner gave her a chemical burn on her back with an anti-flee acid. She’s got damaged skin that won’t grow any hair for the rest of her life!
We have donated some clothes, and our tank tops(not the one she’s wearing in the photo) have been used to wrap around gauze on her back, also preventing Nancy from scratching her wound. According to Kelsey, Nancy’s foster mom, Nancy is now doing very well with her recovery from the wound.
