Nelaein | Pale Reaver | Bloodstone Revenant

“Well, well… (to White Mantle captors) did you really think that would kill me? Now it’s my turn to bring the pain.”

– • – • –

Did I really unlock the Bloodflame Sword Skin and then make an entire character based on that vibe? Yes. Yes I did.

Nelaein is my PvP toon so his story is a little grittier. He’s not the Commander; he’s a young (currently ~2 years) Pale Reaver recruit that was captured by White Mantle cultists, went a little Bloodstone-insane but has hence managed to channel that into being useful.

King Jalis Ironhammer is the spirit he works with, and King Jalis’ steady nature and mentor-like approach to their partnership has helped Nelaein become… less of an angry, feral, manic stray cat. In terms of making friends and socializing…. eh, he’s working on it :’)

arcxus-of-altihex:

Kaonn | Pact Commander | Mordrem Dragon

“It’s hard to imagine that anyone could forget Tarir. Returning here… it’s beautiful. So wild and overgrown amongst the golden architecture. I…”

“Commander?”

“Nothing, Taimi. I just… feel at ease, here.”

– • – • –

Ah, Tarir! Kaonn’s favorite city. A lost place, but one where there’s freedom to fly and explore, and people of great wisdom. Following Heart of Thorns’ plotline, he never did quite fit in at The Grove again.

Their naiveté, their tendency to cling to teachings so black and white when Kaonn knows the world as only shades of grey… it’s suffocating, sometimes.

Tarir is an escape. A place to be with Aurene, to learn about history. To be a part of something new and forget, for moments, just how much has changed.
