I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT AT THIS YEAR’S RIO OLYMPICS A WOMAN HAS THROWN A HAMMER FARTHER THAN MEN AND HER NAME IS ANITA WŁODARCZYK
Okay, listen up!
Despite the fact that men’s hammer is heavier (7.26 kg - 16 pounds; women’s 4 kg - 8.8 pounds), men can and did throw it over 80 meters (262 ft. 5"). For example, last year’s best result was Pawel Fajdek’s 83.93m. This year’s best olympic result in men’s hammer was 78.68m (258 ft. 1") and in women’s 82.29m (268 ft. 11").
What is more, during their training, women use heavier hammers. By the way, during one of her training sessions in Cetniewo, Anita threw even 89.90m (294 ft. 11").
I find it (not)surprising that mostly here people find it problematic that I made a post that a woman thew farther than any man at this year’s olympics. Polish comenntators, who are mostly men, pointed out that she did that themselves in national television.
So, repeat after me…
