Day 8: Hange

How you meet

You were spending the afternoon reading in a coffee shop. The consistent noises of the people and espresso machines was great ambient sound for you to stay focused on your reading. Since it was lunchtime, there was a rush of people coming in and leaving and soon the tables were all full which didn’t bother you much and you went back to your book. You felt a shadow fall over you and when you looked up, there was a person standing there with a smile on their face. They asked if they could sit at the empty chair across from you and you agreed. Every couple of minutes they would laugh to themselves and when you peeked at them, they were on their phone. Finally, you had to ask and they showed you what was making them laugh so hard. Camera filters. You both got to talking and later Hange asked you to lunch.

Where you go on a date

Dude, you want one of the most entertaining and fun dates you’ve ever had? Let Hange choose. They take you on a bike ride in the park and when you both get tired and need to rest, you find a spot along the river and pop a squat. Hange rode around with drinks in their backpack and you both get day drunk on cheap, canned alcohol and as it gets darker, you pick up something for dinner, going back to the park to eat and enjoy an outdoor concert. Literally, so much fun.

Something that goes wrong

Hange, being drunk, tries to feed some of the animals that came up to the both of you while you were eating your snacks and Hange ends up getting chased by ducks into the nearby pond which sent you into a laughing fit.

How they confess

Hange’s confession isn’t as clear as someone else’s might be, but you understood what they meant when they said it. When they were finally able make it out of the pond and back to where you were sitting under a tree, you were still laughing at them. They laid down next to you, closing their eyes and saying, “I hope that’s a laugh I get to hear for a long time.” And that was it.

What gift they bring you

Hange is amazing and while traditional is not a word people would use to describe them. I think this also extends to the types of gifts they give. The kinds of things they would give would be something they came across that they really liked and so they give it to you so you can have the same experience they did. So, when they come to you one day and gift you a dirty magazine, you don’t really question it. That would be what they bring to you on Valentine’s Day. Obviously, they were using it for some sort of research and would go into detail about the different things they learned while reading it.

Short Random AOT Headcanons:

• Erwin and Reiner dad sneeze.
• Levi has yet to lose a game of poker to anyone.
• Hange’s room is a complete mess, books piled up on their desk, papers all over the floor along with random oil lamps, Levi hates their room.
• Levi attempted to clean their room… But it was a fruitless task as Hange found the Captain unconscious on the floor after tripping over an oil lamp.
• They also write notes in their sleeve when there’s no available paper.
• Armin has read every book in the available to him in the SC library.
• Mikasa is attached to anything that matches the same shade of red as her scarf.
• Jean gets random love letters from admirers in the Military.
• Floch doesn’t wash his hair as often as he should.
• Eren is low-key annoyed by Floch.
• Everyone is annoyed by Floch.
• Levi and Zeke traded insults like Pokémon cards when Zeke was staying in the forest, each insult progressively getting more and more worse.
• Reiner still thinks of Bertholdt a lot.
• Niccolo sometimes sets out an additional plate on accident because he thinks Sasha is coming to eat with him.
