Pics from the set of HBO’s Rome at Cinecittà! This was really cool to see in person to get a sense of its scale and to see the choices they made about inscriptions. The reconstruction of the Fasti was great to see, but I was more excited by the random copies of actual ancient epitaphs stuck into buildings and the much more recently composed fake graffiti in the Subura
