@the-sinking-ship is the best. she’s a fantastic cheerleader- she’s been reblogging and commenting on these MM posts like the goddess she is. she alphaed my very first drarry fic back in july and totally made me feel at home in the fandom. later, she was my beta for my Herbtamer fic and was so patient and supportive throughout. i can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done for me! I’ve been listening to some of her fic soundtracks while putting together the last of the MM posts this weekend and they’re so satisfying and creative!
because she’s awesome, sly participated in @fandomtrumpshate this year, raising an exceptional amount of money, but not only that - she’s doing so in exchange for a longfic. she’s an incredible writer- I’ve reccomended fics of hers before, so it was really fun to read a bunch of new works of hers to put this list together. you’re sure to find something you like!!

Illustrated by the incredible @crankyteapotUnbecoming is a story about a girl who travels to a strange world full of illogical sense and perilous peculiarities, but mostly it is about her finding out who she is, and what that means. The tale is much in the line of Alice in Wonderland/the Phantom Tollbooth, and it is the first prose book I have attempted to print. Hopefully the first of many more!
If you have never heard of the Property of Hate, great news! You can read the whole thing here for free, no adverts even. It’s a web comic about a TV headed monster who takes a child to the World of Make Believe to become the Hero… which isn’t as peachy as it sounds. The first two books have been a great success, and I hope that we can make this third one a reality! (It’s a good one. There’s a lot of chase sequences. You’ll love it.)

By now you’ve hopefully all caught Vel’s announcement, with a lot of news, but concluding that she isn’t giving up on ctc. So neither will we!! Though I have more or less given up on tumblr. sorry :-) but I’m active on ctc updates and other social media!
So I’d like to make a return, for however long, to put together a CTC zine. This is a project I’ve been thinking about (with fo) since summer, but life is messy etc etc. I never got around to it, but this seems like the perfect time! with the comic in indefinite suspension, I think it would be fantastic to look back on all the hard work one person alone has done, and how much we’ve appreciated it.
It will be pdf-only, no-cost. There will also be no cuts. The purpose is to compile everyone’s fanwork in one nice book and share with each other! So it’s technically a zine, but more like a community compilation.
This was a gut decision to suddenly bring back now (as most of my decisions are lol) but it feels right. SO! stay tuned for details as I work them out. does this sound like something yall would be interested in contributing to?
