We are back for another year of Frightful October!
As usual, I started this super late (as in I decided to try and do this on September 25th, just six days before October) so I decided to shorten it a bit. Instead of three chapters per act, I’ll be doing two this year. I doubt these will be any creepier than the first set but I’ll do my best to at least make them a decent read for the best season of the year.

001.Pumpkin Pie ⋩ Robbie Reyes (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D)
A layer of mist consumed Smoky’s mind. His steps were getting quicker with each second as his friends ran behind. “Taiyō..” he whispered to himself. To him, the entire world felt that had slowed down as he drew closer to the abandoned warehouse. Waste littered the ground, children and adults shouted, their tone carried fear as they were forcefully separated from their friends and family.
Reaching the entrance, he continued and saw his fear reflecting on him. Leaning against the wall, you stared at the concrete ground. The brilliant light that illuminated the storehouse allowed Smoky to see the small beads of crimson that were a few centimeters in front of you. You sat on the ground leaning on the wall to keep yourself from completely falling. Instantly Smoky came to your side, hearing your dyspneic breaths—the expansion in your lungs burn, thus you took shorter breaths. “We’ll get you to the doctors, quick,” he spoke, his attitude was calm but if you cut underneath the layers of tranquillity you’d find him frightened.
“Ah..nīsan.. You’re safe..”
“Mhm..” He reached towards your arm, despite the wool, fingerless gloves he wore he still felt the winter slowly start on your body. He lifted your body from the ground placing your arms around his neck for support then he grabbed on the back of your leg. “C’mon.. Taiyō we have to get you out of here..”
You: “Hasn’t it.. been a while since you carried me.. like this..?”
He held you closer feeling a bead of sweat grow, “Yeah, when we were five.. You fell down and sprained your ankle..”
You gripped a little harder, dizziness tainted your mind, “.. Can you tell him I love him?”
“…… Tell him yourself,” he stated.
You let out a small laugh as he felt your arms release from his neck, winter consumes your body.
Smoky: “.. You said you’ll build a family with him.. Lala and Eri would help around.. They would care for the baby and..” He went silent before he felt the warm, liquid swell on his eyes. “C’mon.. You know.. H-He loved you too.” His movements ceased when he saw his friends running towards him. He couldn’t help staring at the man who loved you the most.
I wonder if this is the last?
