all the madrigals get their gift for a reason - they’re all representations of the personality of the individual, e.g. julieta is a nurturing person and always has been. we can infer that bruno’s gift is therefore a reflection of himself - what is it about him that gives him the power to see the future? we could imagine that it’s his anxious and worrisome nature, but it seems to be the case that that developed as a result of his gift rather than the other way around.
no, i propose to you that bruno simply has the worst case of ‘i told you so’ syndrome in the world. bruno goes, 'don’t forget your keys, you should put them on a hook’ and julieta’s like 'i never forget my keys’ then forgets one time them 104 days later and doesn’t even say anything and she gets home and bruno is like . bruno knows instinctively whether any given relationship will work out for reasons completely unrelated to his gift. one time at school they were 10 and bruno completely accurately predicted the rise of the soviet union and then when the mountain finally split and opened the outside world he was like mmmmmm. whaddya think of that Mrs. Garcia.
