House doesn’t *say* “I love you” with his words. Rather, he *tells* Wilson with his actions–actions that will cost House everything but give him Wilson.
It’s not what he says; it’s what he does.

House never ever said what he was thinking, he would always just act. He never told his fellows the diagnosis that had come to him in an epiphany with Wilson, he would just tell them to put the patient on whatever meds they needed, or he’d scurry off and rub it in the patient and the other lesser Doctors faces.
H&W Honestly didn’t use dialogue whenever they hung out they’d communicate with looks, unless they felt like having a battle of wits.
Wilson was 100% doing this just to see House smile in the MRI monitor before H could stifle it like he always does, and without being harrassed for staring at him with those puppy dog eyes.
