HPFWG Write-A-Thon Results

So last month we held our 3rd Write-A-Thon (our 2nd coincided with NaNo.) I just wanted to give a huge shout out to all 30 of our participants! Between you all, you wrote 185,890 words over 48 hours, which is more words than Jane Eyre!

Many of our writers managed to meet personal goals they had set for themselves, and others managed to finish what they were working on. (We will be starting to plug these works here later this week!)

So proud of all the work you all put in during the event – and every day!

Our next WAT event will be held this summer, so keep your eyes peeled!

The Inner Circle - Death Eater Drabbles

Hello there, writers! We’ve got a fun drabble exercise running in our Discord this April. Starting this coming Monday, we’ll be doing an exploration of Death Eater characters.

Characters like Bellatrix, Snape, and the Malfoys have been pretty thoroughly explored in fanon, so for this particular exercise, we want to focus on some of the less known Death Eaters. Who are they? What made them go down the path of darkness? What are they like with their family and friends? Do they like their coffee extra strong? We’ll try to get under their skin in under 150 words (a difficult task, I know).

Every day, you’ll be given a list of five Death Eaters and three prompt words. You can use the prompt words for inspiration or you can completely ignore them. The main thing is to focus on one of the Death Eaters and try to give some substance to their character within the limits of the format.
