So, it’s the very end of may, and there’s this whole "mermay challenge” thing that I completely forgot every year, and I wanted to give it a quick shot. But I’ve also wanted to draw Gertrude.
Oh boy, I do love compromise.
And for some reason, Mermaid’s blood is blue in their universe. (just the avoid to being too gory with the usual red).

Did you know that Skottie Young, the guy behind IHF, also worked on several Deadpool comic ?
Well, really, it shows on the special IHF episode, where the fourth wall is annihilated.
Anyways, it inspired me to make this weird fusion between Gwenpool and Gertrude. After all, if she was a marvel character she could fit as this. (And because, what’s another IHF AU to this point… )
It was fun to design ^^ !

Commission for @bix-bix
It was super great to come back on my Empress Gertrude’s design through a commission ! It was a good way to draw her with inked lines.
They didn’t ask for a particular light, but I thought dark with greenish light would be a really nice touch. I’m glad of the results, I hope they’ll like it too.
