Alicia is the protagonist of my dystopian short story [x], and she somewhat fascinates me, so instead of talking about the guys I should be talking about, I’ll just talk about her…
She’s short and thin, has long black curls, dark eyes and a defiant smile.
Tell us, in one sentence, what your character’s ultimate goal is.
To bring down the Council (or the military dictatorship in her country) and end their rule of fear.
What actor would could you envision playing your character in a movie? (faceclaim)
There are many that could possibly do for it, but I have no faceclaim. She should be Latina, and someone who can convey an air of danger around her.
What is their theme song?
Thinking about Green Day, but not ready to pinpoint a single song. 21st Century Breakdown?
Which character trope do they fit the best?
Tropewise she is a very dark shade of anti-hero. Or, after digging through TV Tropes, a “well-intentioned extremist”.
Are they physically fit? What sport would they play?
Yes. She’d probably do athletics. Anything where you need a burst of energy. Long jumping or hurdles? Even though I guess she is too short for it.
What is their spirit animal?
A viper. It’s fine if you leave her alone, but if you get too close she’ll go straight for the kill.
How about their Hogwarts house?
I was going to say Slytherin, because she’s not nice - but no. Gryffindor. Courage, loyalty to a cause and tendency to become a martyr.
What is their greatest character flaw? How does it affect their journey?
She’s radical and merciless. She wasn’t always, though. But as of yet, I fear her journey will only lead her further into the dark.
What scene with them are you looking forward to writing the most?
I don’t really plan on writing a lot with her, but I look forward to anything ;) She does have a love interest, though, and as I love stubborn strong characters in soft moments this is definitely something I look forward to.
Have they undergone any emotional trauma? How does it affect them/their choices?
Yes. It has made her cruel and emotionally detached.
Do they use magic? What type is it and why is this the magic you chose for them?
Oh yes. She does. Basically, she wields pure energy, and she’s best with anything powerful and blasting; her magic is not made to last, but to destroy.
And I didn’t chose it for her - I wanted the magic, and the character somewhat shaped around it.
